We took a chance with Simon, taking him on as PD for our period dramatized factual. This is was his first full Producer Director role and required his strong 2nd unit shooting skills alongside his DOP and camera team. Our risk has been handsomely rewarded. Simon has taken the complex nature of this production in his stride with an attention detail in managing content, cast and crew (over 50 of) with an exemplary light touch to demanding safety and locations management that is second to none. Simon has effortlessly produced our Edwardian period dramatizations in 4 countries, in locations as diverse as the alpine mountains (Matterhorn, Mont Fort), steep rock-faces, busy period street scenes, and World War I trenches. We highly recommend Simon for his attitude, hardwork and ability to deliver in demanding environments.

Edwin Hammond Executive Producer

Simon is a top flight cameraman and director specialising in extreme conditions of terrain and environment, areas which he has made his own. His gift is the energy and determination that he puts into his work to ensure that only the very best will do, all wrapped together in a package of great professionalism and a manner which is both a privilege and a joy to work with.

We have had the pleasure of having Simon work with us on a very challenging recent shoot covering the home countries and filming in all weather conditions and terrains covering the amazing Tri 4 Life 2014 Event. This is a wonderful group of individuals aged 7 to 70 who over a two week period pitted themselves against the elements whilst they carried out their "Iron Man" feats on consecutive days.

We needed a very special professional at the top of his game to get in amongst the participants and be able to pick up all the key moments. Simon did this brilliantly often putting in very long days with the sub edit and transfers to be done at the end of each day. He has given us a unique insight into the way in which this great group of people went about their challenges. Blood, sweat and tears we got it all, up close and personal thanks to Simon.

A great pleasure to have Simon working with us and we are looking forward to the next time.

Simon is a great cameraman and was much more than that on our production following crocodiles in the wilds of Belize. He is an excellent team player, incredibly helpful when considering and managing the safety aspects of the filming. His medical, rope and water skills were utilised to the great benefit of the production and contributed to a successful and enjoyable location experience.
