Phil honed his editing skills for the best part of 10 years before transitioning to directing, taking with him a focused set of storytelling skills, an eye for detail, and an ability to economise on set to enable the edit to tell the strongest possible story. Phil has now worked internationally with large crews, and is as comfortable directing large action set pieces as he is intimate, character driven scenes. Working as producer and editor with the likes of Aidan Gillen (Game of Thrones, The Wire, Queer As Folk) on the feature film ‘Pickups’ (dir.
