I worked with Brigitte on Exodus: Our journey to Europe for BBC2, following refugees from Syria, Afghanistan and west Africa, as they made their way to Europe. Our series took us to some difficult and hostile places, filming an issue which is often controversial. Brigitte was excellent person to have on the team for not only her prior knowledge of these countries and their customs (she speaks many languages and has worked pretty much everywhere) but also for her understanding and skill of how to read stressful situations. Many times she negotiated hard access in a way which was both safe and workable. She's an incredibly good negotiator and quick to react to any changing situation. Her level of experience and professionalism was invaluable to our production.
