I am a Grierson, RTS and Broadcast nominated, BAFTA Cymru Award Winning Filmmaker, with nearly 20 years' experience crafting bold, ambitious observational documentary series, factual films and presenter led shows for prime-time terrestrial television. Previous credits include the BAFTA winning first series of Surgeons: At the Edge of Life for BBC TWO, the Grierson nominated 60 Days on the Streets and Broadcast award nominated Italia ‘90: When Football Changed Forever, for Channel 4. ​I have strong editorial instincts, a proven track record for navigating complex legal and compliance issues, managing budgets and running large teams, from pre-production right through to post and delivery. I’m comfortable managing access to large institutions and confident liaising with and reporting into key stakeholders, including executive producers and commissioning editors. I'm used to working alongside onscreen talent and vulnerable contributors, creating trusting and collaborative relationships to make the best film or series possible. I also have experience of devising complex production protocols, including hostile environment guidelines, for filming teams to follow. I am an established broadcast camera operator, with strong visual sensibilities and extensive experience working independently. As well as making films across the UK, I have also spent a significant amount of time overseas in the United States, India and throughout Europe. As well as shooting my own films, I also have experience directing crew and fixed rig teams, too. I'm experienced in the edit and used to overseeing multiple suites at any one time. I am thorough and creative, with good communication and script writing skills. I have a strong working knowledge of post-production work flows and I'm a highly competent user of Avid + Adobe Premier Pro.
