Amy has been working in BBC Comedy for the past 2 years as a Production Management Assistant. She initially joined the department as part of the Mama Youth scheme and her placement was so successful she was offered a role on the New Comedy Awards for Radio 2 assessing entries and working on the national heats and finals.
From January 2015 she has been working as part of the Comedy Production Support team providing a wide range of departmental help including filming read-throughs, running castings, checking artist availability, archive research, sourcing clips for BBC3 shortform and organising audience testing pre-transmission. Amy has extensive floor running experience on In-House titles including Upstart Crow, Flat TV, Children In Need, Sport Relief, Comic Relief and W1A. Producers trust her judgement and she regularly gives notes to them on scripts and sketches for Radio Comedy topical shows including Newsjack.
Amy is an invaluable member of the team and has an enthusiasm to learn as much as she can about the creative and production processes involved in programme making. She is personable, calm, efficient, creative and it's a pleasure to have her working with us in the Department.
