Hello, my name is Ellie and I am from Somerset in the UK.

I have always been passionate about wildlife - I grew up on a farm, so from a young age I spent many hours trudging fields and observing/handling animals.

This passion skyrocketed after I spent three months in Africa last year. I spent 7 weeks traveling (including 21 days overlanding and camping) and 5 weeks volunteering (Big Cats & Elephants in Kenya, Wildlife Rehabilitation in South Africa). I returned to the UK with a burning desire to redirect my career into Wildlife Conservation. This leads me to where I am at present...

I am enrolled in a virtual wildlife conservation internship with GVI and have passed foundation courses in Wildlife Conservation and Careers in Sustainable Development with distinction grading.

My previous work experience included roles in administration, communications, marketing, and animal husbandry. I enjoy tapping into my creative brain and have a diploma in Journalism.

As I look into future career prospects, roles that would be suitable for me would include Storytelling (presentation, voice-over), Media Researcher, Project Coordination, Marketing & Communications.

Ultimately, I am interested in engaging an audience in the hopes of raising awareness, educating, and having a positive impact on wildlife conservation.
