I'm a filmmaker from the West Coast of the United States, currently based in Bristol. I hold a dual BA in evolutionary biology and studio art from the University of Chicago, and I've just graduated with distinction from the BBC-affiliated MA programme in Wildlife Filmmaking from UWE Bristol; I'm excited to enter the local industry within my capacities as a researcher and camera assistant. I'm well-versed in the operation of professional camera kit across brand and specific utility, and both standard and improvised technique—ranging from interview setup, to lighting dynamics, to proper equipment handling and care, to all other modes of image collection. I'm experienced in parsing and communicating scientific pubcliations, liasing and collaborating with empiricists, finding logistical solutions on and off location, and drafting research briefs. I'm also familiar with methodologies of formatting the planning and risk assessment documents needed to film safely, with the proper permissions and clearances, and according to budget, and can prepare all of this both independently or cooperatively with production management colleagues.
