Based in Exeter and originally from Madrid, I have recently finished my Master's studies at the Univeristy of Exeter in Middle East Politics and Arabic. My final project is an attempt to tell a different story of the Syrian civil war, through the experiences of the Syriac Christian community in North Syria. I am passionate about learning through story-telling. I believe stories and storytelling can be a way to amplify the plights of oppressed communities. They have the potential of humanising and connecting while playing a key role in representing diverse experiences. Currently, I am completing a 3-month intensive Advanced Arabic course in Tunisia and I have previously studied Arabic in Jordan and Lebanon. Read Less
