My name is Ellis and I have just submitted my PhD thesis in History, on the topic of the British Army in Cold War Berlin. I have extensive research experience in both a professional and academic capacity, meaning I have in-depth knowledge and experience using both physical and online archives, sourcing material, and dealing with large volumes of material. 

I also have wide experience communicating my research through writing (through my PhD thesis and through article writing), orally (through teaching and presentations), and in documentaries. From school children and university students to academics and the general public, I've adapted and communicated my research to suit specific audiences. 

Drawing on these aforementioned skills, I worked for three months for the SVOD company History Hit, between February and April 2022, becoming involved in a wide range of documentary production-related roles and duties. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at History Hit and am actively searching for Researcher/Assistant Producer roles based in Bristol or the surrounding area. Read Less
