I have a long standing interest in creative activities that underpins my desire to work in the media sector. I made a proactive decision to leave my role at Tesco Bank in order to pursue my media career aspirations. I committed to voluntary work at a local community radio station and also secured work experience at BBC Sport Scotland. The latter opened the door to freelance work with Off the Ball and assisted in my successful pursuit of a BBC Production Apprenticeship role.Following the Apprenticeship I was able to secure full time work as a freelance researcher, technical lead and journalist with BBC Sport Scotland over the course of the last 12 months. As a result I feel I have a wide range of knowledge in the techniques and practices of Sport production. In summary, I am an innovative, creative individual with a proactive attitude and a strong aptitude for media production. My career history to date demonstrates an ability to adapt to changed surroundings and quickly master new skills. These characteristics are backed up by well-developed collaboration and team working capabilities and a determined, hardworking ethos.
