20+ years experience in factual documentary-making. Happy to work in either development or production to:
-Find contributors to fit a format or commissioner brief.
-Set up and shoot documentary material worldwide.
-Direct inexperienced talent.  
-Write and pitch treatments, film and edit taster tapes.
-Produce films from treatment stage to online.

Stylish self-shooter, very comfortable working with Sony FX9/FS7 or DSLRs and gimbals. Lots of experience capturing actuality as a solo operator in remote outdoor locations, industrial sites, archaeological digs etc. Also happy lighting formal interviews and indoor locations, and filming plate shots for CGI. Alternatively, very used to working as a director of larger crews, or as sound recordist/director alongside camera operators, drone ops.

In-depth knowledge of science, natural history, archaeology and engineering, though with previous experience working in arts, childrens, history, general features and formats.

Special interest in macrophotography and timelapse. Read Less
