I’m a Development AP, experienced Assistant Producer, and published writer, with 10+ years' experience in TV production, from a journalism background.

I have an in-depth understanding of a wide-range of formats, having worked across projects from development and pre-production, through to post and overseeing edits. Areas worked include fact-ent, obs-doc, factual, features, and studio, and subjects include science, history, engineering, consumer, current-affairs, comedy, and entertainment. I have strong story-finding skills, and an instinct for creating purposeful and engaging content. 

I am a skilled writer with experience writing proposals, scripts for broadcast, and devising punchy formats. I'm also proficient in Keynote and InDesign, and take pride in creating attention grabbing and compelling decks. I'm a highly creative fast-thinker, who enjoys in-depth research, and fleshing out ideas from their inception.

I work well both in teams and independently, am self-motivated, and apply initiative to find creative solutions under pressure. In production, I'm used to supporting crew, and co-ordinating teams on location through complex shoots in the UK and abroad, working closely with SDs and SPs from pre to post. Having worked several roles as an Archive AP, I also have a practised understanding of archive libraries and clearance processes. 

I have experience working with high-profile talent, and maintaining good relationships over long projects. Including establishing long term partnerships in production and development with known brands, and in casting individuals. I’ve worked across several sensitive access films, securing connections with prominent global companies and institutions (incl. Tavistock and Portman, Mazzoni Centre, Mount Sinai, Heathrow Airport, FedEx, Virgin, the MOD, The Science Museum, The RAF, RSPCA, Trans Media Watch). I enjoy working with contributors, and strive to provide excellent access support.

I identify as trans non-binary, and am an advocate for diversity and visibility in television, also working as a trans+ advisor, both in development and across productions. I enjoy focusing on human-interest, current affairs, and sensitive access, whilst supporting and amplifying a diverse range of voices to tell authentic stories. I am driven to develop programming with diverse cast and crew members, and to highlight the importance of marginalised representation in mainstream television. Read Less
