Roeland is a Shooting Director and Edit Producer with a track record of making attention grabbing and critically acclaimed docs for global audiences. Whether it’s unfolding narrative or archive led retrospective storytelling, everything he directs and produces has exceptional contributors and rigorous journalism at its heart.

He is experienced at tackling tough topics, dealing with complex legal & safeguarding issues and filming in dangerous environments, whether with drug kingpins in traphouses in Atlanta (Dope - Netflix) or with a remote indigenous tribe in the Congo (Extreme Tribe - Channel 4). Roeland enjoys turning tricky subjects into good TV – his Prix Europa nominated documentary (Should I Marry My Cousin? - BBC) took a taboo subject and transformed it into a moving coming-of-age doc, and his behind scenes filming at the Tour de France became a ratings hit (Unchained - Netflix).
