    Junior Production Manager – Antiques Roadshow (BBC)

    Bristol (Hybrid – min. 3 days in office)

    Dates- End of Feb / Early March util End of July / Early August

    Contract: Freelance PAYE

    Are you ready to join one of the BBC’s most iconic and best‑loved programmes?

    Antiques Roadshow is gearing up for a brand‑new series- touring the UK, meeting the public, uncovering hidden treasures, and capturing the human stories behind them. And we’re looking for an experienced Junior Production Manager (JPM) to help bring it all to life.

    This is your chance to play a key role in a complex, fast‑moving production with national visibility. If you thrive in busy environments, love problem‑solving, and aren’t fazed by large events or multiple stakeholders- this one’s for you.

    What You’ll Do

    You’ll be at the heart of the operation, supporting multiple events at once and ensuring everything runs smoothly from planning to delivery. Expect to:
    - Lead large-scale public Roadshow events : from pre‑production logistics and scheduling to on‑site filming.
    - Own relationships with locations: securing agreements and being their go‑to contact.
    - Coordinate multiple filming teams: keeping everything on track in a constantly shifting environment.
    - Manage budget areas: forecasting event/filming costs and supporting the Production Manager.
    - Line manage PMAs & Runners: helping the team do their best work.
    - Handle IT onboarding, supplier relationships, artist/agent liaison, and compliance with BBC guidelines.
    - Champion sustainable production- including Albert certification and carbon reporting.

    About You

    We’re after an experienced JPM who can juggle multiple moving parts without breaking a sweat. You should bring:
    - Strong organisational & planning skills
    - Experience in fast‑turnaround productions
    - Confidence leading public-facing events
    - Budget management experience
    - Ability to work with presenters/experts on schedules & logistics
    - Experience managing junior team members
    - Knowledge of Silvermouse + Albert carbon tracking

    Bonus points if you have:
    - Archive sourcing/clearance experience
    - Post‑production & booking experience

    - Important
    Filming takes place multiple weekends (Fri–Mon) between May and end of July, so weekend availability is essential.
