Studio Junior Production Manager – Morning Live
Location: Manchester City Centre
Start: April 2026
Contract: 4 days per week (must include Monday & Friday)
BBC One’s Morning Live is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Junior Production Manager to join our busy Studio team! If you love the buzz of live TV, enjoy working with brilliant people, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Be Doing
- As our JPM, you’ll support the Production Manager in running the day‑to‑day operations of our live daily show. Your role will span across:
Finance & Budgeting
- Forecasting and monitoring budgets
- Working closely with editorial teams to keep everything aligned
Team Support & Leadership
- Helping to lead and develop production staff, placements, and scheme participants
- Creating a supportive, inclusive and safe working environment
Compliance & Risk
- Ensuring all content meets BBC guidelines
- Managing copyright, rights clearance and legal processes
Supplier & Talent Management
- Building strong relationships with suppliers and agents
- Negotiating contracts and booking crew, production teams, and on‑screen talent
Studio Operations
- Supporting daily studio management
- Onboarding freelancers and new team members
- Upholding Morning Live’s positive, collaborative culture
What We’re Looking For
- Must have solid experience as a Junior Production Manager
- Confident across end‑to‑end production workflows
- Strong background in music, copyright & fair dealing
- Excellent budget management and BBC finance systems experience
- Brilliant communication and relationship‑building skills
- Highly organised, calm under pressure, and solutions-focused
- Experience mentoring or supporting team members
- Studio experience is essential
- Live programme experience is great to have, but not requiredCompany Name
