Tinopolis has signed execs from Nutopia, Brinkworth and Channel 4 to scale up its Scottish labels Firecracker and Mentorn.

Tammy Hoyle, who oversaw UK development and US and streamer strategy at BBC Studios prior to becoming a development consultant for Nutopia, will join Prince Harry: My Terrible Year [pictured] indie Firecracker, while Brinkworth head of content Yonni Usiskin will join Question Time producer Mentorn.

Former Channel 4 commissioning editor Gill Brown will oversee premium content across both labels in a role based within Tinopolis Scotland.

The trio will collaborate across the wider Tinopolis network alongside Tinopolis director of development Cara Cummings, Mentorn director of programmes Tayte Simpson and Mentorn director of current affairs Nicolai Gentchev.

Hannah Wyatt, who joined Tinopolis last year as chief executive of unscripted, a role that includes oversight of both Scottish labels, said the hires are about “scale, clarity and ambition”.

She added: “We are investing in senior creative leaders who understand the commissioning landscape, think globally, and know how to build distinctive slates.

“Tammy, Yonni and Gill each bring their own unique creative lens and together strengthen our existing team and our ability to deliver premium unscripted content while giving each production company a clear, differentiated editorial and commercial identity.”

Hoyle’s credits include ITV’s Big Brother and I’m A Celebrity... for ITV and BBC2’s Ultimate Wedding Planner, while Usiskin, who has also held roles at the BBC and Vic Media, has worked on 5’s The Murder of Charlene Downes and BBC2’s The Satanic Verses: 30 Years On.

Brown’s commissions include Junior Bake Off, Location Location Location and George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces.

Since leaving C4 in 2024, she had a stint as a development executive at indie Strawberry Blond.
